A game about telling people, not surviving
Rapture fiction usually starts the moment after — the empty cars, the chaos, the people left behind. This game sits on the other side of it. You spend the whole run handing out Bibles to people who are still here, still reachable, and still walking around distracted. That is the entire mechanic, and it is also the entire point.
Nobody is written off
There is not a single enemy in this game who cannot be reached. The woke birds are netted and released. The lost characters stop, kneel and change. The villains are arrested rather than harmed. Even the demons only flee. That is a deliberate theological choice: if the rapture is coming, then no one you meet before it is beyond the invitation.
The scriptures behind it
The commentary quotes as you play rather than lecturing between levels. Among the ones that carry the game: “Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead” (Ephesians 5:14), “as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Joshua 24:15), and the warning in 2 Timothy 3 about people who love pleasure more than they love God. No. It sets no dates and names no individuals. Scripture is explicit that nobody knows the day or the hour, and the game keeps to that.
